01 · The exposure

One policy, assembled around how your business actually runs.

A business package combines sections such as property damage, theft, glass, money, business interruption and public liability into a single policy. The value is not in the bundle itself but in choosing the right sections, at the right limits, for your premises and operations.

02Scope

What this covercan respond to.

A general guide. What a particular policy covers depends on its wording, limits, conditions and exclusions, and on what is declared to the insurer.

  3. 03Loss of income following an insured event, where business interruption is included

03What we look at

Where the detailmatters.

  • Sum insured accuracy

Underinsurance is common and costly. We review building, contents and stock values against current replacement costs, not purchase prices from years ago.

  • The sections you do not need

Paying for sections that do not apply is waste. Leaving out a section that does apply is worse. We go through each one.

  • Lease obligations

Commercial leases often require tenants to insure glass, fit-out and liability to specified limits.

04 · Before we talk

Questions yourbroker will ask.

Having these answers to hand makes the first conversation faster and the submission to insurers stronger.

  1. Do you own or lease your premises, and what does the lease require?
  2. What would it cost to replace your fit-out, contents and stock today?
  3. How long would it take to trade normally again after a major loss?
  4. Do you keep cash or high-value items on site?

05 · Questions

Frequently asked.

Is a package cheaper than separate policies?

Often it is more efficient, but not always. For some businesses, particular risks are better placed separately. We compare both where it makes sense.

Does a business package include cyber cover?

Some packages offer limited cyber extensions, but they are usually narrow. Businesses with real data or systems exposure should consider a dedicated cyber policy.
